APPLY AT A MEDICAL INSTITUTION
You apply directly to a medical institution that offers BrainSuite. As an option added to a brain screening or a full health check, your hippocampal volume can be measured within the same MRI scan. The price and the way you apply are set by each institution. Some institutions offer a course for BrainSuite on its own.
BrainSuite brain screening is provided at medical institutions in Japan. Applications, payment and customer support are handled in Japanese.

You lie down in the MRI scanner and stay still. The scan takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Hippocampal volume is analysed from the MRI image data that was acquired.

The price for applying directly is set by each medical institution. At some it is included in a brain screening course; at others it is added as an option. How it is offered differs from one institution to another. Please ask the institution for the exact amount.
BrainSuite is provided as private care and is not covered by Japanese public health insurance.

What BrainSuite covers, what it costs and how the result is explained differ from one medical institution to another. When you book, please say that you would like BrainSuite (hippocampal volume measurement).
People with metal in the body, such as a cardiac pacemaker, and people who find it difficult to stay in an enclosed space, may not be able to have the examination. If you are unsure, please ask the medical institution before you book.
Q. Can I apply without having a brain screening?
A. It depends on the institution. Some offer BrainSuite on its own; others offer it only as an option on a brain screening.
Q. How long does the examination take?
A. The MRI scan takes about 10 to 15 minutes. How long you are there in total, including reception and changing, differs from one institution to another.
Q. When do I get the result?
A. After the analysis, through the medical institution or on your MyBrain personal page. Please ask the institution when it will be ready.
Q. Can you analyse an MRI image taken in the past?
A. The analysis needs image data that meets set conditions. Please ask the medical institution whether yours can be used.
